"Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad." - Wreaths Across America.org

The BSA strongly encourages service projects.  Honoring those who served our nation, and in many cases died in the process, is one way to participate.

Troop 1313 participates yearly in the December laying of wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. Hal Beach (yellow jacket) leads the troop effort.  This year he was assisted Assistant by Scoutmaster David Crocker.

Troop 1313 is fortunate to be located so close to the nation's capital.  It allows the troop to participate in events like Wreaths Across America, and visit historic places that many young men never get a chance to see first-hand.
